Expected Schedule

This is a full-time role.

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, featuring a 4-day work week with one weekday and weekends off; final schedule to be determined during the interview process
  • Some holidays will be required

Compensation

  • Starting at $25-34/hour, based on experience

Your Role

As an Oncology Veterinary Technician, you will collaborate closely with our board-certified oncologists to support patients throughout their treatment journey, from diagnosis to chemotherapy and follow-up care. You will provide a steady, compassionate presence for both patients and their families.

In this position, you will:

  • Administer medications and chemotherapy under the guidance of an oncologist
  • Assist with diagnostics, including laboratory tests, imaging, and CT scans
  • Support oncology appointments and help manage patient flow and scheduling
  • Assist with our radioactive I131 program for hyperthyroid cats
  • Maintain precise medical records, treatment notes, and drug logs
  • Provide compassionate client communication and education
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Radiology
  • Deliver emotional support and patient-centered care at every stage of treatment
Who We Seek
  • Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician, or an experienced veterinary assistant
  • Experience in specialty medicine and/or oncology is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Confidence in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
  • Familiarity with veterinary medical software (e.g., EzyVet, SmartFlow) is a plus
  • A positive attitude and dedication to compassionate care
