Now Hiring: School Psychologist – Connecticut

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide maternity leave coverage for a supportive Connecticut school district. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity beginning mid-December 2026 through the first week of April 2027.

This assignment is ideal for a School Psychologist who enjoys conducting evaluations and collaborating with educational teams. The role is evaluation-focused, with no counseling responsibilities, allowing you to focus on assessment and eligibility services.

Position Details

  • Location: Connecticut
  • Assignment Dates: Mid-December 2026 – First Week of April 2027
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Setting: Onsite
  • Caseload: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade (K-2)
  • Assignment Type: Maternity Leave Coverage

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students in grades K-2.
  • Administer psychoeducational assessments and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student needs.
  • Complete a small number of evaluations for students attending local parochial schools within the district.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Connecticut State Department of Education and federal special education regulations.

Please Note: This position is evaluation-focused only and does not include counseling responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Master's, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Ability to obtain all required Connecticut employment clearances before the start of the assignment.
  • Previous school-based experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations preferred.
  • Strong assessment, report writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
