Now Hiring: School Psychologist – Elmwood Park, IL

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join the team at John Mills Elementary in Elmwood Park, Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity serving a PreK-5th grade caseload. Position Details

  • Location: John Mills Elementary – Elmwood Park, IL
  • School Year: 2026-2027
  • Start Date: August 17, 2026
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 35 hours per week (7:45 AM - 3:15 PM)
  • Setting: Onsite
  • Caseload: PreK-5th Grade

Responsibilities

  • Complete all initial evaluations and re-evaluations for special education eligibility.
  • Administer psychoeducational assessments and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports in compliance with state and federal timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Student Support Team and MTSS teams to problem-solve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
  • Provide direct student support services as scheduling permits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Master's, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Ability to obtain all required employment clearances prior to the start of the assignment.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
