Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience working in elementary school settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to travel between two assigned schools as part of your weekly schedule
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Deep understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and behavioral interventions
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments of students referred for evaluation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and support services for students
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to advocate for students’ learning needs
- Deliver workshops or educational sessions for staff and families as needed
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines
