School Psychologist | Stafford, Virginia

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students in the Washington DC area, approximately 45 minutes south of the city. This full-time position offers a dynamic blend of on-site and remote work, with a 4/1 hybrid model available for added flexibility. You’ll primarily work across one elementary and one middle school, dedicating your expertise to assessments, Functional Behavior Assessment/Behavior Intervention Plan (FBA/BIP) support, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Your collaboration with dedicated education diagnosticians means no academic achievement testing, allowing you to focus on psychological services and, occasionally, counseling alongside school social workers.

In this role, you’ll:

• Provide psychological assessments and consult with school teams to guide interventions
• Lead and support FBA/BIP implementation for individual students
• Collaborate on MTSS initiatives to foster positive learning environments
• Partner with other mental health professionals, contributing to a holistic approach to student well-being
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate findings to parents and staff
• Work on-site four days a week, with the option to complete one day remotely

What we look for:

• Active VA DOE Certification
• Current Virginia Psychology License
• Experience in school settings, with confidence in psychoeducational assessment
• Strong consultation skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Familiarity with FBAs, BIPs, and MTSS frameworks
• Ability to start the VA Department of Social Services credentialing process immediately and provide a recent TB Test
