In your role as an ER Nurse, you will be instrumental in developing and executing personalized care plans aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. Your critical thinking abilities and sound judgment will enable you to operate effectively with minimal oversight. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans based on thorough evaluations
- Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes and coordinate patient care
- Recognizing barriers to effective communication and providing suitable education to patients and their families
- Delegating patient care tasks to support staff and mentoring student nurses and new employees
- Ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and infection control protocols
- Demonstrating initiative and self-motivation while effectively managing time and responsibilities
To excel in this position, you will need the following qualifications:
- A valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a Compact license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
- Current STABLE certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant setting
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening is required
