Job Description
Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a skilled school psychologist. This position is located near Woodstock, GA, with two current openings: one full-time and one covering a maternity leave. Both roles offer 30+ hours per week, providing a rewarding and dynamic environment where your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for students.
The primary goal is to identify and address special learning and/or emotional-behavioral concerns through comprehensive psychoeducational assessment and collaborative consultation. You’ll work closely with students, parents, and staff to develop strategies and interventions that promote academic and emotional success.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Active certification/licensure to practice as a School Psychologist in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience working with students in K-12 settings
- Proficient in psychoeducational assessment tools and interpretation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
- Experience consulting on student support teams and IEP processes is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments to support student learning and emotional wellness
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support teams to develop effective intervention strategies
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP and 504 plan development
- Offer expert consultation and recommendations to school staff regarding student needs
- Support crisis intervention and provide direct counseling as needed
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
