MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an enthusiastic, board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in Augusta, Maine.

Deliver full-scope, evidence-based care in a state-of-the-art facility.

The Role at a Glance

    Comprehensive Care: Manage well-newborns, run a Level II NICU, attend deliveries, handle pediatric inpatients, and provide ED consults.

  • \n
  • \n

    Critical Stabilization: Confidently lead neonatal resuscitation and stabilize critically ill newborns prior to tertiary transport.

  • \n
  • \n

    Clinical Teaching: Mentor 1-2 learners (Family Medicine residents/medical students) on weekdays.

  • \n

    Manageable Workload: Average daily census of 4 to 6 patients.

    Flexible Scheduling: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong In-House Support: Practice independently with on-site backup from OBs, midwives, anesthesia, and emergency physicians. Phone support from regional children's hospitals is just 1 hour away.
