OB/GYN Faculty Position Available

Become a part of our supportive and established team in Newport News, VA:

We are currently in search of a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician to join our esteemed OB/GYN Residency Program as Core Faculty. This role presents a distinctive chance to contribute to a program with a longstanding tradition and robust institutional backing, dedicated to training future physicians while enhancing the health and wellness of the communities we serve.

Our community-focused, ACGME-accredited OB/GYN Residency Program has been integral to our educational mission since the 1970s. We invite faculty members who are passionate about academic medicine, dedicated to evidence-based practices, and eager to mentor residents and medical students.


Position Highlights:

Our ACGME-accredited OB/GYN Residency Program, which also holds Osteopathic Recognition, offers:

  • A total of 12 residents, with 3 in each PGY year.

  • Approximately 2,400 deliveries annually, featuring 12 labor and delivery rooms, 22 private postpartum rooms, and 2 dedicated OB operating rooms.

  • Opportunities to precept residents in the clinic, labor and delivery, and the operating room at Riverside Regional Medical Center, a 450-bed trauma facility.

  • Service to a diverse and medically underserved population.

  • Access to a state-of-the-art Simulation Center for surgical, procedural, and labor and delivery skill enhancement.

  • Collaboration with a committed Program Director and a team of enthusiastic core faculty.

  • Strong partnerships with VCOM, VCU, and EVMS for medical student education.

  • Continuous faculty development and support for academic career advancement.

  • EPIC system linking all inpatient and outpatient locations.

Salary Range: $335,000 - $385,000

Actual compensation will depend on specialty, experience, and performance.
