About Our Organization

Founded in 1916 by Dr. Walter Baker, a surgeon from South Bend, our clinic was inspired by a visit to the renowned Mayo Clinic, the first large multi-specialty group of its kind. Motivated by this experience, Dr. Baker collaborated with five other specialists to establish what is now known as our organization. Over the years, we have expanded to include ten campuses and nearly 150 providers across more than twenty specialties. Despite our significant growth over the past century, we remain committed to the founding principles of patient-centered, physician-led healthcare. In 2021, we partnered with a leading independent, multi-specialty physician-led medical group based in Chicago, further enhancing our mission to deliver exceptional patient care and increase investment in our services.
