Job Description
Step into a pivotal role as a Bilingual School Psychologist, making a lasting difference in the lives of students from early childhood through high school. This contract opportunity starts August 3, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, with a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) and an engaging, varied caseload. Serve as an itinerant professional, traveling between multiple school sites within a diverse district and providing essential services to a wide spectrum of students.
Key Qualifications:
- Current License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential recognized by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Demonstrated experience in school-based assessment, interventions, and ARD meeting participation
- Comfortable serving students from preschool (age 3) to 12th grade
- Prior experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse student populations
- Must complete fingerprint clearance through TEA if not done recently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, evaluate, and support the academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students, working closely with educators and families
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for a monthly caseload of approximately 9 students
- Participate actively in ARD meetings, offering expertise and advocacy to support optimal student outcomes
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff across multiple school locations
- Provide culturally responsive and individualized interventions for a diverse community
