Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Hand, Shoulder, and Upper Extremity to enhance our dedicated team. In this role, you will be tasked with diagnosing and treating patients who have injuries or conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their medical history and current health status.

  • Order and analyze diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.

  • Create and execute treatment plans for Orthopaedic patients, incorporating both surgical and non-surgical methods.

  • Perform surgical procedures related to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

  • Track patient recovery and modify treatment plans as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.

  • Completion of an Orthopaedic Surgery residency program.

  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.

  • Fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.

  • Possession of a valid medical license, with the capability to obtain a Pennsylvania license.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in working within a private practice team environment.

Our organization has proudly operated as a physician-owned and managed practice for nearly 46 years. We provide a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal care in our region, allowing each physician the autonomy to develop their practice. Our diverse team of orthopaedic specialists ensures that all patient musculoskeletal needs are met under one roof, fostering a coordinated approach to orthopaedic health.

Benefits and Growth Opportunities

Join our team of 10 fellowship-trained orthopaedic physicians and 17 skilled physician assistants. We also employ 22 Physical Therapists and 4 Occupational/Certified Hand Therapists, offering extensive outpatient rehabilitation services, including aquatic therapy. Additionally, we have an Orthotist available for brace and orthotic fittings, as well as an on-site specialist for EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies. Our facilities include office-based ultrasound and X-ray services, along with Platelet Rich Plasma Injection Therapy, among other offerings. We operate walk-in Ortho Urgent Care Centers for emergency visits and direct referrals across five locations in the Pittsburgh suburbs.

Due to the growth of our practice, we are looking for a hand/shoulder/upper extremity orthopaedic surgeon to join us in 2026. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient-centered care, contribute to practice expansion, and collaborate effectively within a team. An interest in providing general orthopaedic care is preferred. As an independent practice, we accept all major insurances and maintain a healthy payer mix. Our practice is primarily elective, with minimal on-call emergency coverage and no level I trauma, operating on a call schedule of 1:9. We offer excellent working hours and competitive benefits.

Essential Qualifications
  • Fellowship trained in Hand and Upper Extremity.

  • Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.

  • Ability to secure a Pennsylvania state medical license.
