Join a Growing Gastroenterology Program in Athens, Georgia
Job Description
A regional health system in Athens, GA, is welcoming Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologists to join a growing, hospital-employed gastroenterology program. This is a growth-driven, permanent recruitment designed to expand the group to four physicians in response to significant community demand and a robust internal referral base.
\n The practice offers immediate clinical volume, strong administrative support, and a long-term strategic vision that includes expansion of facilities and future ASC development. Both general gastroenterologists and physicians with advanced endoscopy training are encouraged to apply.
\n Position Highlights:
\n -Hospital-employed general or advanced gastroenterology position
\n -Join a highly productive GI physician, willing and ready to mentor and one senior APP; second APP anticipated
\n -Strong internal referral network with no volume concerns for incoming physicians
\n -2,500+ referrals annually with two rural facilities feeding referrals into Athens
\n -At least one advanced GI desired, with expectation of some general GI initially as advanced volume ramps up
\n -All procedures currently performed at the hospital-based endoscopy center
\n Schedule & workflow:
\n -Call is currently capped at no more than 1:5, with improvement as the group grows
\n -Target model moving toward 4:1 endoscopy-to-clinic
\n -Goal to maximize physician time in endoscopy

\n Compensation & Benefits Overview
\n -Base salary range: $600,000+, with flexibility upward for high-volume or experienced candidates
\n -Sign-on and relocation package - split between signing and start date
\n -wRVU-based incentive structure:
\n -Upside-only model
