Junior Finance Assistant

Type: Full-time, Permanent

KCR Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing business in Sunderland for a Junior Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in finance. You will be supported by an experienced finance team and gain hands-on exposure to day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
\n
• Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
\n
• Supporting payment runs and liaising with suppliers on queries
\n
• Maintaining the cashbook, including daily bank postings and reconciliations
\n
• Assisting with allocating incoming payments
\n
• Supporting month-end processes
\n
• Filing and maintaining financial records
\n
• General finance administration and ad hoc duties as required
\n

About You

\n
• Keen interest in finance or accounting
\n
• Strong attention to detail and good level of numeracy
\n
• Good IT skills, particularly Excel (basic level acceptable)
\n
• Organised and able to manage workload effectively
\n
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
\n
• Good communication skills
\n

Desirable (but not essential):

\n
• Finance & Accounting degree (or similar) – preferred
\n
• AAT studying or keen to start
\n
• Previous office or admin experience
\n
• Some practical experience with invoicing processes (e.g. processing invoices, matching, or exposure during placement or part-time role)
\n
• Exposure to finance tasks (placement, internship, or part-time work)
\n
