\nAn exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join a global leader in advanced materials and high-performance engineered components. With over 15 manufacturing sites worldwide and annual revenues exceeding £400 million, the business supplies precision-engineered products into the aerospace, defence, semiconductor, energy and industrial sectors
\nThis is a hands-on leadership role overseeing production operations within a high-precision machining environment. You'll lead skilled manufacturing teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimise machining processes, and ensure the delivery of complex projects
\nProduction Manager Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage day-to-day workshop and production operations within a precision machining environment \n
- Drive production performance, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are consistently achieved \n
- Oversee CNC machining operations including milling, turning and multi-axis machining \n
- Support new product introduction and process development from concept through to production \n
- Develop machining strategies, tooling selection and fixture design to improve productivity and efficiency \n
- Lead Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the production department \n
- Manage production planning, resource allocation and operational performance \n
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Supply Chain to deliver business objectives \n
- Lead, coach and develop production teams, creating a positive and high-performing culture \n
Production Manager Experience:
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Workshop Manager role within precision engineering \n
- Strong background in CNC machining with hands-on knowledge of milling, turning and multi-axis machining \n
- Excellent understanding of tooling, fixture design, machining strategies and process optimisation \n
- Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) and production process development \n
- Proven people management experience with the ability to motivate, develop and lead high-performing teams \n
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies \n
- Green Belt or Lean Leader certification would be advantageous \n
