Production Manager

Location: Shepton MalletSalary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annumShift: Days

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer looking for a driven leader to oversee production operations and help deliver exceptional standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Lead, motivate and develop production teams to achieve operational targets.
\n
• Ensure production schedules are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
\n
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
\n
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.
\n
• Work closely with Technical, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimise performance.
\n
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and company procedures.
\n
• Manage staffing levels, performance, training and succession planning.
\n
• Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant food manufacturing standards.
\n

• Previous experience as a Production Manager within a food manufacturing environment.
\n
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
\n
• Experience managing KPIs, production planning and continuous improvement projects.
\n
• Good understanding of food safety, HACCP and quality management systems.
\n
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
\n
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
\n

• £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
