The Role\n

A fantastic opportunity has become available for two Production Managers to join a leading manufacturing organisation at their high-volume production facility in Glasgow.

Due to continued growth and investment, the business is looking to appoint:

  • 1 x Production Manager - Days (06:30am - 15:00pm)
  • \n
  • 1 x Production Manager - Lates (15:00pm - 23:30pm)

The site is a key part of a large-scale manufacturing operation, specialising in the processing, packing, labelling and dispatch of finished products supplied into major retail, foodservice and distribution channels.

\n

Working within a high-care, high-speed production environment, the successful candidates will take ownership of production performance across their area, ensuring operational targets, quality standards and customer service levels are consistently achieved.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join a growing operation, drive improvements, develop teams and make a significant impact within a newly established site.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager\n

  • Own the full production performance of the production hall, including: \n
      \n
    • Line outputs.
    • \n
    • Shift targets.
    • \n
    • Quality standards.
    • \n
  • \n
  • Monitor and drive improvements across: \n
      \n
    • OEE performance.
    • \n
    • Yield.
    • \n
    • Giveaway reduction.
    • \n
    • Labour efficiency.
    • \n
  • \n
  • Ensure daily production schedules are achieved through effective resource planning and optimal machine utilisation.
  • \n
  • Work closely with supporting departments to maintain consistent product flow into production lines.
  • \n
  • Lead performance reviews, root cause investigations and downtime analysis to improve operational performance.
  • \n
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and maximise productivity.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with: \n
      \n
    • Traceability requirements.
    • \n
    • GMP standards.
    • \n
    • Allergen controls.
    • \n
    • Food safety procedures.
    • \n
  • \n
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Managers and Line Leaders.
  • \n
  • Build a strong team structure and succession pipeline.
  • \n
  • Utilise production data and systems to monitor, challenge and report on KPIs.
  • \n
  • Represent the production function in daily review meetings.
  • \n
  • Work closely with Planning, Engineering and Technical teams to improve site performance.
  • \n
  • Drive improvements to ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) customer service levels are consistently achieved.
