Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Bench Joiner/ Pattern Maker to join their skilled Patterns team.

With over 20 years of industry experience, our client delivers high-quality products across a diverse range of sectors, including foundry, automotive, construction, and large-scale themed projects. Working Hours:

\n
• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 4:15pm
\n
• Friday: Optional overtime available

The Role

As a Bench Joiner/ Pattern Maker, you will work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, producing bespoke patterns, moulds, jigs, and themed products to customer specifications. This is a varied role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong practical skills, and the ability to work from technical drawings and build plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct patterns, moulds, and bespoke components from wood and composite materials
\n
• Assemble products from technical drawings, build plans, and CAD-generated assembly instructions
\n
• Carry out repairs and modifications to existing customer products
\n
• Finish CNC-machined components to a high standard
\n
• Apply paints, sealants, and finishing materials where required
\n
• Inspect completed products to ensure quality and accuracy
\n
• Work closely with the CAD/CAM team to ensure products meet customer specifications
\n
• Prepare and package finished products for dispatch
\n
• Assist with stock control and notify management of material shortages
\n
• Maintain accurate job time records
\n
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe
\n
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company procedures
\n
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
\n

About You

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual with strong bench joinery skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Essential Requirements:

\n
• Previous experience as a Bench Joiner, Woodworker, Cabinet Maker, Pattern Maker, or similar
\n
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
\n
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
\n
• Good communication skills
\n
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n

Desirable Skills:

\n
• Experience working with GRP or fibreglass materials
\n
• Experience operating woodworking machinery such as band saws, circular saws, and sanders
\n
