Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician£42,000 - £52,000 Including Shift Allowance DOEDay and Night Shift (4on 4off)My client is looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician to join their engineering team in Bridgwater. They welcome applicants from mechanical, electrical or craft backgrounds, as well as those who are already multi-skilled. - Complete planned and reactive maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime. \n
- Diagnose faults and test, repair and maintain a range of mechanical, electrical and automated manufacturing equipment. \n
- Support fault-finding activities across control and automation systems. \n
- Carry out preventative, condition-based and corrective maintenance tasks. \n
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics and maintenance documentation to support effective fault diagnosis. \n
- Use the site's maintenance management system to prioritise tasks, record work completed and identify recurring issues. \n
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure equipment is returned to service safely and efficiently. \n
- Lead and support root cause investigations to identify permanent corrective actions. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance and operational efficiency. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects across the site. \n
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and engineering compliance. \n
- Liaise with OEMs and external suppliers where technical support is required. \n
- \n
- Time-served or recognised engineering apprenticeship. \n
- Maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, military or similar engineering environments. \n
- Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled background with strong fault-finding capability. \n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. \n
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. \n
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced production environment. \n
- Relevant engineering qualifications (ONC, HNC or equivalent experience). \n
- \n
- HNC qualification in an engineering discipline. \n
- IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification. \n
- Experience with automation and control systems. \n
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques. \n
- Experience supporting reliability improvement or root cause analysis activities. \n
- \n
