Job Title: Senior Authorised Person - Electrical

\nSalary: Up to £51,000 based on skills and experience
\n\nAbout the role:
\n\nThe Senior Authorised Person will take responsibility for the implementation and operation of the electrical safe systems of work to effectively control risk, and this will be a Sussex based role for the safe maintenance and operation of the companies’ high voltage systems to ensure no danger arises.
\n\nWith a salary of up to £51,000 (depending on skills and experience), the successful applicant will be expected to support the Operational Managers with recruitment and assist the H&S team with investigating and reviewing any safety related issues or incidents, to ensure robust resolutions are deployed to avoid occurrences.
\n\nAs well as our standard training, we also provide HV & Safety training to support you in your role.
\n\nWhat you will be responsible for:
\n\nWorking alongside a team of approx. 40 Authorised Persons, including the Asset Maintenance Engineering team, you will be the escalation point for technical questions, advice and guidance in electrical fields.
\n\nNo two days will be the same as you will cover a large area, whilst also providing support on the setup and installation of new equipment.
\n\nYou will need to have the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and be able to communicate with people at all levels. A self-motivator with a passion to make improvements across the business, the successful person will be required to motivate and drive through and implement technical and legislative changes.
\n\n\nWhat you’ll bring to the role:

- Full, clean UK Manual Driving Licence \n
- Engineering qualifications to at least HNC level in electrical fields with certificates to show your qualifications \n
- Detailed knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) \n
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) will also be required, as well as extensive technical knowledge and experience to enable them to deliver a high level of service. \n
The successful individual will have a demonstrable background and knowledge within a maintenance operations-based position and have predominantly extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge.
