Junior Accountant/Semi Senior - Barnsley

The Role

Barber McLelland is working in partnership with a regional accountancy firm based in Barnsley.

The firm have an excellent staff retention rate, providing individuals with a dedicated training program that runs in conjunction with external AAT or ACCA/ACA studies.

Due to recent promotions of a number of staff members, the firm have two newly created roles for a Junior Accountant/Semi Senior.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of Junior Accountant/Semi Senior will be responsible for the following:

• The preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
\n
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
\n
• Client bookkeeping
\n
• Dealing directly with the client, this will include the need to make telephone calls and generate and send emails and written correspondence
\n

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicant must have developed a minimum of 2 years of experience working within the accountancy profession and will be part-qualified AAT, ACA or ACCA.

The individual will also need good communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Remuneration

• £25,000 - £28,000
