Senior Reporting Accountant – Real Estate Investment ConsultancyWe are working with a growing real estate investment and fund consultancy that is looking to appoint a technically strong Senior Reporting Accountant to join its London finance team. This is a broad, high-impact position offering significant autonomy and exposure across statutory reporting, technical accounting, financial controls and process improvement. The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of real estate and fund structures, partnering closely with financial controllers, senior leadership, external auditors and advisers. The role would particularly suit an ACA or CA-qualified accountant with a strong audit background who is looking to move from practice into a commercially focused finance environment, with immediate exposure to complex real estate and fund structures.Key Responsibilities\n

- Lead the review of statutory financial statements across a portfolio of UK and offshore entities. \n
- Ensure compliance with relevant reporting frameworks, including IFRS, FRS 102 and Jersey GAAP. \n
- Coordinate external audits, manage information requests and support the resolution of technical queries. \n
- Review accounting policies, disclosures and significant judgement areas, including investment property valuations, lease accounting and intercompany transactions. \n
- Take ownership of the firm’s ISAE 3402 assurance programme, including coordinating stakeholders, reviewing control findings and overseeing remediation activity. \n
- Act as an internal technical accounting specialist, advising on complex and non-routine transactions. \n
- Prepare technical accounting papers and supporting documentation for audit sign-off. \n
- Monitor changes to financial reporting standards and assess their impact across the business. \n
- Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, development activity, debt restructurings and new entity onboarding. \n
- Review quarterly management accounts and investor reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency. \n
- Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement projects, with a focus on improving controls, data quality and reporting efficiency. \n
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new finance systems and reporting tools. \n
- Deliver technical training and support the professional development of ACA and ACCA trainees within the business. \n

- ACA, CA or equivalent professional qualification. \n
- A strong audit background, ideally gained within a Big Four or top-tier accountancy firm. \n
- Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements under IFRS or FRS 102. \n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to research and document complex accounting matters. \n
- Exposure to ISAE 3402 or wider controls assurance engagements would be highly advantageous. \n
- Experience within real estate, investment funds, asset management or financial services would be beneficial, although strong technical candidates from other sectors will also be considered. \n
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple entities, deadlines and stakeholders. \n
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a genuine interest in improving processes and controls. \n
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting and financial reporting systems. \n
