Tax Accountant or Tax Manager

A highly regarded and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Personal Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join its thriving tax team.With offices across the UK, this firm combines the resources, technical expertise and career opportunities of a national organisation with the welcoming, supportive culture typically associated with a smaller independent practice. \nThe Role
\nWorking closely with Managers, Directors and Partners, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients whilst supporting a range of compliance and advisory projects.
\nKey responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring all deadlines are met. \n
- Preparing personal tax computations and returns for review. \n
- Reviewing tax work prepared by colleagues outside of the tax team. \n
- Handling complex HMRC correspondence and enquiries. \n
- Providing technical guidance to colleagues and clients. \n
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory assignments. \n
- Identifying planning opportunities for clients. \n
- Advising on Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters. \n
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the tax team. \n
- Conducting technical research and contributing to specialist projects. \n
About You
\nYou will be an experienced tax professional who enjoys building relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
\nThe successful candidate will ideally have:
\n- \n
- ATT qualification. \n
- Around 5-6 years' post-qualified personal tax experience. \n
- Strong technical knowledge across personal taxation. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. \n
- Good commercial awareness and client-facing skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability. \n
- Experience using CCH Personal Tax software (desirable). \n
