Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

Based in Liverpool, you will work within a hybrid working model, supporting key stakeholders across the organisation and delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis and business partnering support.This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant who is immediately available or available at short notice and looking to join a values-driven organisation during an exciting period of activity and change.

Job Duties:\n
    \n
  • Produce monthly management accounts and associated financial reports.
  • \n
  • Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
  • \n
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
  • \n
  • Analyse financial performance, investigate variances and provide meaningful commentary.
  • \n
  • Generate income and expenditure statements and maintain the integrity of the financial ledger.
  • \n
  • Support the development of KPI reporting and management dashboards.
  • \n
  • Prepare financial analysis and reporting for budget holders and senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Assist with financial modelling, costings and business case preparation.
  • \n
  • Support the preparation of recharges, invoices and ad-hoc financial reporting.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • \n
  • Provide financial support to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Assist the Financial Controller with key financial deliverables and stakeholder requests.

Ideal Experience:\n
    \n
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant (essential)
  • \n
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant position.
  • \n
  • Strong month-end accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information.
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively to tight deadlines.
  • \n
  • Proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • \n
  • Experience within healthcare, NHS or public sector environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
