About the Role\n

We are seeking an experienced Construction Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join our clients growing Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an established construction lawyer or a commercial litigation solicitor looking to specialise in construction disputes.

\n

Working alongside experienced partners, you will advise a diverse client base including developers, contractors, consultants, employers, funders and insurers on a broad range of contentious construction matters.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Advising clients on construction and engineering disputes.
  • \n
  • Managing adjudications, arbitrations, litigation and other forms of dispute resolution.
  • \n
  • Providing strategic advice on issues arising under standard form and bespoke construction contracts.
  • \n
  • Drafting correspondence, pleadings and settlement documentation.
  • \n
  • Advising on contract interpretation, defects, delay, payment disputes and professional negligence claims.
  • \n
  • Working closely with experts, counsel and clients to deliver commercially focused solutions.
  • \n
  • Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • \n
  • Supervising junior lawyers where appropriate.
  • \n
Candidate Profile\n

  • Commercial Litigation Solicitors seeking to move into construction law, particularly those with experience of complex contractual disputes.

You will ideally have experience of:

  • Commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
  • \n
  • High-value contractual disputes.
  • \n
  • Court proceedings, mediation, arbitration or adjudication.
  • \n
  • Excellent drafting and advocacy preparation skills.
  • \n
  • Managing client relationships and running matters with appropriate supervision.
  • \n
\n

Construction-specific experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong commercial litigation backgrounds and a genuine interest in specialising in construction law.
