Maintenance Technician / Building Technician £35,000 - £42,000 + Training + 38 Days Holiday + Enhanced Pension + Progression + BenefitsSite based, commutable from Oxford, Abingdon, Kidlington, Bicester, Witney, Thame, Didcot and surrounding areas.Are you a mechanically biased engineer / technician with experience working on pipe work, looking for a stable, site-based role with a world-renowned organisation where you'll be the go-to specialist for critical building services?This is a great opportunity to join a thriving environment as a Building Services Technician, where you will be massively invested in and trained into BMS Systems, where you can continue your development as you become one of the go-to engineers.You'll be responsible for installation, maintenance and fault finding across chilled water and compressed air systems, including pipework, valves, regulators and compliance record keeping. You'll also supervise specialist contractors, support broader building services works where competent (AHU filter changes, minor ductwork, fan installs), and play a key role in keeping research facilities operating safely and reliably.The ideal candidate will be a qualified engineer with experience across mechanical, air compressors, pipework, refrigeration or similar looking for continued development and progression as part of a forward thinking thriving team. This is a long-term, permanent position offering strong benefits, a high-quality working environment and the chance to work on specialist systems supporting cutting-edge research.The Role * Maintain and install process chilled water and compressed air systems * Work on associated pipework, valves, regulators and system modifications * Fault find, monitor performance and implement safe fixes/improvements * Supervise specialist contractors and coordinate planned/reactive maintenance * Maintain accurate compliance and system records (including F-Gas register support)The Person * Experience in the other discipline (Plumbing, Pipework, chillers or compressors) * Confident fault finding and comfortable supervising contractors * Strong IT and record keeping skills, professional approach with stakeholders * F-Gas qualification and full clean driving licence beneficial
