  • Pay Rate: £25.00 per hour as an Umbrella Contractor / £22.00 per hour PAYE

  • Job Type: Temporary (3-6 months initially, with potential for permanent placement)

  • Working Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Warehouse Team Leader to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This position is based in Beckton and is crucial for ensuring the effective management of our warehouse operations, which support a variety of community services provided by the local authority.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a team of 6-7 staff, ensuring high performance and staff engagement.
  • \n
  • Oversee the warehouse operations including ordering, receiving, and managing stock.
  • \n
  • Ensure the warehouse remains compliant with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and service users.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with commissioners, prescribers, and other health & social care partners.
  • \n
  • Coordinate facilities management functions (specific to the local authority).
  • \n
  • Support contract mobilisation and strive for continuous improvement in all processes.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team within a warehouse setting.
  • \n
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • \n
  • Excellent client relationship and staff performance management skills.
  • \n
  • Empathy and understanding towards the needs of service users, appreciating the critical nature of the services provided.
  • \n
  • Experience in health and social care environments is advantageous but not essential.
