Band 7 Mortuary Technician

Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Mortuary Technician to support a busy NHS Mortuary service. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician with post-mortem experience to join a professional team on a full-time contract.

• Carry out hospital post-mortem examinations.
\n
• Prepare and assist during post-mortem procedures.
\n
• Receive, identify and release deceased patients in accordance with Trust policies.
\n
• Maintain accurate mortuary documentation and records.
\n
• Ensure compliance with HTA legislation and infection prevention procedures.
\n
• Support the day-to-day operation of the mortuary service.
\n
• Maintain a respectful, dignified and professional environment at all times.
\n

\n
• Certificate or Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or
\n
• NVQ Level 3 in Anatomical Pathology Technology
\n
• Previous NHS Mortuary Technician experience.
\n
• Competent in carrying out post-mortem examinations.
\n
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, HTA regulations and infection control.
\n
• Right to work in the UK.
\n
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
\n
• Compliance documentation available for immediate registration.
