Financial Controller - London Market MGA

I am partnered with an ambitious London Market MGA to recruit a Financial Controller. This is an initial 6-month contract with a clear pathway to a permanent position. With upcoming Group reporting and audit commitments, they are ideally looking to appoint someone who can join on a relatively short notice period, making this a great opportunity for candidates who are immediately available or able to start within the next few weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial reporting including month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, statutory accounts, tax filings and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
\n
• Lead the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and accounting policies
\n
• Oversee all taxation matters, including direct and indirect taxes and management reporting
\n
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including the implementation of new finance and underwriting systems
\n
• Develop and mentor the finance team
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified accountant with 5+ years’ post-qualified experience
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS
\n
• Proven experience within London Market MGA sector
\n
• Strong financial reporting skills with experience of finance systems implementations and driving process improvements
