Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Treasury Accountant on behalf of a well-established global organisation based in Ormskirk.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional looking to develop a career within treasury accounting. Working as part of an experienced finance team, you will support the Treasury Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager in delivering accurate treasury accounting, reporting and banking activities across the Group.

Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany loan balances, ensuring accurate records are maintained. \n
- Ensure internal lending arrangements remain within agreed limits and investigate any variances. \n
- Review treasury exposure reports, validating data accuracy and supporting financial risk reporting. \n
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end treasury accounting processes. \n
- Prepare and post treasury journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Process entries into the Group consolidation system accurately and within reporting deadlines. \n
- Support the preparation of monthly interest calculations, reconciliations and variance analysis. \n
- Account for dividend payments and related treasury transactions. \n
- Maintain treasury management systems and online banking platforms, including user administration and access controls. \n
- Calculate, process and reconcile banking fees and ensure timely settlement. \n
- Produce supporting documentation for audits and internal reporting requirements. \n
- Provide holiday and absence cover for the Treasury Assistant. \n
- Assist with continuous improvement of treasury processes and controls. \n
The successful candidate will ideally have:

- AAT qualified, or studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA. \n
- Previous experience within an accounting or finance role. \n
- A sound understanding of accounting principles, particularly cash, loans and balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Experience assisting with month-end processes. \n
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and formulas. \n
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. \n
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. \n
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. \n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across the business. \n
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn within a treasury environment. \n

- Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience. \n
