Accounts Payable Lead

Equifind are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Team Lead working for this Finsbury Park based Sport & Leisure firm.

The team is small but set to grow in the future, you’ll get a chance to lead 2 X AP Assistants whilst overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, including regional and international creditors.

About The Role

As a Accounts Payable Lead working for this Finsbury Park based leading Sport & Leisure firm, you will:

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Accurately and promptly process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and appropriate authorisation
\n
• Ensure robust three-way matching between purchase orders, goods received, and invoices, including price verification
\n
• Support supplier onboarding, maintaining accurate records and completing all necessary compliance checks
\n
• Reconcile supplier statements and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies
\n
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
\n
• Act as the primary point of contact for supplier and internal stakeholder queries, responding in a professional and timely manner
\n
• Maintain strong financial controls within the AP function and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
\n
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
\n

Experience & Qualifications:

To be considered for this role of Accounts Payable Lead working for this Finsbury Park based leading Sport & Leisure firm, candidates should ideally be:

• 5+ years of experience working in a finance function
\n
• Some previous knowledge of working on creditors and payment runs
\n
• An organised individual who is keen to learn, has high attention to detail and the ability to build meaningful analysis
\n
• Enjoy working with numbers and large data sets with at least an intermediate skill set level with MS Excel
\n
• Ideally experienced with 'Microsoft Navision' system
\n
• Ability to self-prioritise and manage workload
\n
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
\n

Compensation:

The Accounts Payable Lead working for this Finsbury Park based leading Sport & Leisure company offer:

• Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 PA (Pro-Rata)
\n
• Annual performance related bonus (discretionary)
