NJR Recruitment are delighted to be working with a highly regarded Financial Planning firm who are looking to recruit a Trainee Financial Adviser to join their growing team.

\n

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to transition into an advisory role within a supportive and development-focused environment. The successful candidate will initially spend approximately six months working within the paraplanning team, gaining valuable technical exposure and a strong understanding of the firm’s advice processes, before gradually moving into a client-facing advisory position and beginning to build their own client bank.

The Role

\n

The position has been designed to provide a clear pathway into financial advice, with ongoing mentoring, support and long-term career development.

\n

Initially, responsibilities will include:

\n
    \n
  • Supporting advisers with research and technical analysis
  • \n
  • Preparing and writing suitability reports
  • \n
  • Assisting with client review preparation and recommendation packs
  • \n
  • Conducting product and provider research
  • \n
  • Working closely with paraplanners and advisers to support the advice process
  • \n
  • Developing technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
  • \n
\n

As the role progresses, you will gradually transition into:

  • Attending client meetings alongside senior advisers
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • \n
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients over time
  • \n
  • Delivering holistic financial planning advice
  • \n
\n

About You

\n
    \n
  • Previous Paraplanning experience is essential
  • \n
  • Strong technical understanding of financial planning products and processes
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • \n
  • Ambitious, professional and eager to progress into financial advice
  • \n
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified advantageous, though support will be provided towards qualifications
  • \n
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • \n
  • Must be happy to attend the York office a minimum of twice per week
  • \n
