You will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing and repairing complex faults across a range of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable and operating to the highest standards.The RoleAs an HGV Diagnostic Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a modern commercial vehicle fleet. You will use your technical knowledge and diagnostic expertise to accurately identify faults, complete repairs, and support the wider workshop team.Key Responsibilities\n

• Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on HGV vehicles.
\n
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
\n
• Complete repairs and rectification work efficiently and to a high standard.
\n
• Investigate complex vehicle issues and provide effective solutions.
\n
• Carry out servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance when required.
\n
• Support other technicians with technical advice and fault diagnosis.
\n
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards.
\n
• Complete accurate job sheets and maintain detailed repair records.
\n
• Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and diagnostic systems.
\n

About YouThe successful candidate will:\n

• Have proven experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Diagnostic Technician or similar role.
\n
• Have strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills.
\n
• Be confident working with modern HGV systems and diagnostic equipment.
\n
• Have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
\n
• Be able to work independently and as part of a skilled workshop team.
\n
• Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
\n
• Be reliable, professional and safety-focused.
\n

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IRTEC, or manufacturer training would be advantageous.What's on Offer\n

• Approximate salary range of £51,480 - £70,200 per annum (based on a 45 hour week)
