We're looking for a Press and Small Fabrications Operator to join our clients production team, manufacturing high-quality components for the aerospace and defence industries.

About the Role\nAs a Press and Small Fabrications Operator, you'll be responsible for producing a range of sheet metal and fabricated components using presses and associated fabrication equipment. You'll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the high-quality standards expected within a precision manufacturing environment.
\nWorking from engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions, you'll carry out a variety of fabrication operations while maintaining excellent attention to detail and ensuring compliance with company quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Operate a variety of press and small fabrication equipment to manufacture precision components. \n
- Set up and safely operate machinery in accordance with work instructions and company procedures. \n
- Perform fabrication processes including pressing, forming, bending, punching, drilling, deburring and assembly. \n
- Manufacture components to engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements. \n
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections to ensure components meet quality standards. \n
- Use measuring equipment and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. \n
- Identify and report any quality concerns or non-conforming products. \n
- Ensure machinery, tooling and work areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition. \n
- Complete production documentation accurately and maintain full traceability where required. \n
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to meet production schedules and quality targets. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency. \n
We're looking for someone who has:

- Experience operating presses or fabrication equipment within a manufacturing environment. \n
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. \n
- Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment. \n
- Good manual dexterity with excellent attention to detail. \n
- A strong understanding of quality standards and safe working practices. \n
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. \n
- A flexible, positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills. \n
- \n
- Previous experience within the aerospace, defence or precision engineering sectors. \n
- Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel and other engineering materials. \n
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. \n
- Experience working to tight tolerances and quality-controlled manufacturing standards. \n
