Band 6 Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) Practitioner

Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) Practitioner to support a busy NHS service. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians with urgent care experience who are confident assessing, treating and managing patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.

• Independently assess, triage and treat patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
\n
• Perform wound assessment, treatment and dressing management.
\n
• Undertake patient observations and recognise deteriorating patients.
\n
• Administer appropriate pain relief within your scope of practice.
\n
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
\n
• Escalate and refer patients appropriately when required.
\n
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
\n

\n
• Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with relevant professional registration.
\n
• Manchester Triage Training.
\n
• Competent in wound care management.
\n
• Experience managing patient observations.
\n
• Competent in administering pain relief.
\n
• Previous experience working within:
\n
• Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU)
\n
• Emergency Department (ED)
\n
• Primary Care
\n
• Right to work in the UK.
\n
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
\n
• Compliance documentation available for immediate registration.
\n
