Aerospace Technical AssistantAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aerospace Technical Assistant to join a well-established and growing London Market insurance business.This role is suited to a technically strong insurance professional with proven Aerospace experience who is confident managing complex technical processes, supporting operational teams, and ensuring the accurate handling of premium calculations, bureau processing and IBA-related activities.Key Responsibilities\n

• Interpret and process complex slip and endorsement wordings.
\n
• Prepare and maintain accurate premium calculations, including brokerage and tax calculations.
\n
• Provide technical support and guidance to Account Handlers on policy documentation and wordings.
\n
• Manage and resolve Velonetic, insurer and IBA queries in a timely manner.
\n
• Act as the main technical contact for the offshore processing team, ensuring queries are resolved accurately and efficiently.
\n
• Support the administration of complex Aerospace portfolios, maintaining the highest standards of technical accuracy and compliance.
\n
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth processing of business.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work complies with Lloyd's and London Market procedures.
\n

Skills & Experience\n

\n
• Previous experience in a Technical Assistant or similar technical role within the London Market Aerospace insurance sector.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Aerospace insurance products and risks.
\n
• Proven experience producing premium calculations, including brokerage and tax calculations.
\n
• Good understanding of bureau processing, Velonetic and IBA procedures.
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of technical accuracy.
\n
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
\n
