Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable and expanding franchise-approved dealership in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is seeking a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to join their Service Department. • Starting salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:\n

\n
• Servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles
\n
• Carrying out PDI inspections and used vehicle preparations
\n
• Fault diagnosis and reporting on vehicle condition, safety, and performance
\n
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and dealership quality expectations
\n
• Contributing to the efficient running of the workshop, supporting team objectives
\n
• Maintaining accurate documentation and workshop procedures
\n
• Assisting with ongoing vehicle maintenance requirements as workload develops
\n

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:\n

\n
• Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 / IMI certification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
\n
• Minimum of one to two years’ post-qualification experience within a franchise dealership preferred
\n
• Experience with vehicle preparation and PDI work advantageous
\n
• MOT licence is desirable but not essential
\n
• Valid driving licence with minimal points
\n
• Strong work ethic, team player attitude, and commitment to quality work
\n
• Ability to diagnose faults accurately and efficiently
\n
• Professional attitude and a proactive approach to ongoing learning
\n
