Finance Manager

A new client of ours in the freight/logistics industry is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for their finance team . This is a small company with a team of 5 who are growing rapidly and doubled in size in the last 5 years with a turnover of circa 5 million. The Finance Manager or Accounts Manager) role is a key position in this company and my client is looking for someone who is AAT Qualified or Qualified by experience, reliable, responsible and has a good accounting knowledge and looking for a stable position.

As the Finance Manager you will report to the MD directly ( as this is a sole role)

Sales Ledger/Credit control

• Credit control

• Sending statements to customers
\n
• Credit checks & setting credit limits
\n

Purchase Ledger

\n
• Checking statements and making payments to suppliers
\n
• Overseas payments via FX account
\n
• Forward contracts on USD & EUR
\n
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, HMRC Deferment statements - just about everything really
\n
• Passing supplier invoices
\n
• \n

  Sales

\n
• Credit control
\n
• Sending statements to customers
\n
• Credit checks & setting credit limits
\n
• \n
  \n

  Purchase

\n
• Checking statements and making payments to suppliers
\n
• Overseas payments via FX account
\n
• Forward contracts on USD & EUR
\n
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, HMRC Deferment statements - just about everything really

• Passing supplier invoices
\n

  Company

\n
• Controlling cash flow
\n
• Daily transfer of data from Boxtop to Sage
\n
• Update rates of exchange on Boxtop
\n
• Ensuring there are no or very minimal r/ex losses
\n
• Year-end figures / preparation of accounts before presentation to accountants.
\n
• Checking final accounts before they are filed to Companies House
\n
• Monthly profit reporting to MD
\n
• Other reports as requested by MD
\n
• \n

  Sales invoices are prepared by operations staff

\n

Company accounts

\n
• Controlling cash flow
\n
• Daily transfer of data from Boxtop to Sage
\n
• Update rates of exchange on Boxtop
\n
• Ensuring there are no or very minimal r/ex losses
\n
• Year-end figures / preparation of accounts before presentation to accountants.
\n
• Checking final accounts before they are filed to Companies House
\n

Reporting

\n
• Monthly profit reporting to MD
\n
• Other reports as requested by MD
\n

Government reporting

\n
• VAT returns, Payroll reporting and other as necessary
\n

If you are an experienced Finance Manager, with at least 5 years experience in a sole role and can work in an office based role Mon - Fri ( with free parking)
