- Location: Barbican Centre, London EC2Y Hybrid one day per week in office) \n
- Job Type: Contract (Part-Time, 21 hours per week) \n
- Contract Duration: ASAP until 31 December 2026 \n
Our client is seeking an experienced People Advisor to join its People, Culture & Inclusion team on a part-time basis. This role offers a varied and rewarding opportunity for a HR professional who is passionate about delivering proactive employee relations support, advising managers on people matters, and helping to create an outstanding colleague experience within a dynamic and creative organisation.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Provide professional HR advice on policies, procedures, and employment legislation. \n
- Support managers with employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance, and flexible working cases. \n
- Assist with change management activities, restructures, and contractual change processes. \n
- Manage and advise on recruitment campaigns, helping to deliver inclusive hiring practices. \n
- Support onboarding and employee engagement initiatives. \n
- Advise managers on reward matters including honorariums, market supplements, and starting salaries. \n
- Monitor and manage sickness absence cases, liaising with Occupational Health where required. \n
- Support annual people processes including appraisals, learning and development activities, and pay-related processes. \n
- Maintain HR systems and reporting information, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the People function. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a HR Advisor or equivalent role. \n
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and employee relations casework. \n
- Experience supporting recruitment and selection processes. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. \n
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently. \n
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) and/or relevant HR degree. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Experience within the arts, cultural, or public sector environment would be beneficial. \n
