Multi modal operations clerk

Our client, a well-established and growing logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Multi-Modal Freight Operations Clerk with a strong background in ocean freight. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join a fast-paced operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ocean freight shipments, including import and export operations
\n
• Coordinate multi-modal transport movements (sea, road, and air where required)
\n
• Complete full and accurate customs entries in line with current regulations
\n
• Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, customs authorities, and internal teams
\n
• Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a key point of contact for clients
\n
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues or delays
\n
• Prepare and process invoicing and billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
\n
• Maintain compliance with all relevant industry and customs regulations
\n

Key Requirements

\n
• Proven experience in a freight forwarding
\n
• Strong ocean freight knowledge (essential)
\n
• Experience completing full customs entries independently
\n
• Familiarity with multi-modal transport operations
\n
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
\n
• Experience with billing and invoicing processes
\n
• Proficiency in relevant freight and customs software systems
\n

Hours Monday - Friday 7.00am - 16.00pm / Monday - Friday 8.00am - 17.00pm
