Location: NottinghamSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Training & DevelopmentHours: Monday to Friday, Full Time
\nElevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Nottingham.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, apprentice-trained engineer or junior mechanical engineer looking to build a varied career across design, production engineering and toolmaking. You'll join a close-knit engineering team where no two days are the same, gaining exposure from initial product development through to production support and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity\nAs a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you'll split your time between the engineering office, production floor and machine shop, supporting the introduction of new products and improving manufacturing processes.
\nYou'll be involved in:
\n- \n
- Designing jigs, fixtures and production tooling using SolidWorks \n
- Supporting new product introduction from concept through to production \n
- Producing manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process information \n
- Working alongside production teams to trial and introduce new equipment \n
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects across manufacturing \n
- Supporting engineering data and production information \n
- Learning toolmaking techniques within the machine shop \n
- Manufacturing tooling using engineering drawings and CAD models \n
- Providing day-to-day engineering support across production \n
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
\n- \n
- HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) \n
- Strong CAD skills, ideally using SolidWorks \n
- A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles \n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills \n
- A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm to learn \n
- Confidence working both independently and within a team \n
- \n
- Experience using manual machine tools such as mills or lathes \n
- CNC or machining knowledge \n
- Experience creating jigs, fixtures or production tooling \n
