Financial Administrator
Job Description
My client is a Norwich based chartered firm who have been providing advice to Norfolk and afar for over fifty years and you can become part of their success by supporting their adviser as a Financial Administrator.
\nJob summary
\nTo provide a welcoming, efficient, professional and effective client service with a high focus on quality and accuracy, adhering to TCF and Consumer Duty principles at all times.
\nKey responsibilities
\nPrepare and issue Recommendation Letters and obtain relevant research, application forms and supporting documentation.
\nProcess and monitor new business and ‘top ups’ to existing business through to completion.
\nPrepare client valuations and review packs 2 weeks ahead of client meeting dates.
\nProcess all post-review related paperwork and prepare relevant correspondence as required.
\nCommunicate with clients and providers, responding to queries via telephone, email and post in a timely manner.
\nEnsure financial transactions are completed correctly and files are fully FCA compliant by following internal compliance procedures.
\nEnsure all client records and data are maintained accurately and efficiently.
\nObtain and interpret information from providers and fund managers, keeping Financial Planners up to date with all communications.
\nSend out letters of authority and correspondence to clients, professional introducers and other third parties.
\nPrepare new client meeting packs.
\nCalculate fees, raise client invoices and chase outstanding fees as required.
\nEffective management of day-to-day work through the company’s workflow system.
\nOther general administration duties as assigned.
\nRole requirements
\nCertificate in Financial Services or working towards qualification (Desirable)
\nGrade A-C or 9-4 including English and Maths
\nPrevious experience in Financial Services (Desirable)
\nUnderstanding of FCA rules, ethics and financial regulations (Desirable)
\nA working knowledge of investments, pensions and protection plans as well as other financial products and financial planning tools (Desirable)
\nStrong IT skills, MS Office Word and Excel
\nExcellent organisational and communication skills
\nGood numeracy skills
\nAttention to detail
\nAble to demonstrate an adaptable/flexible approach to work within a changing environment
\nAbility to work within a team environment
\nInter-personal skills, both written and verbal
\nExperience of using IO (Desirable)
