We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join our client's fast-paced Residential Conveyancing team. Day-to-day of the role:

    \n
  • Manage a caseload of local property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • \n
  • Maintain capacity levels and work towards achieving monthly targets.
  • \n
  • Adhere to SRA compliance/CLC Code of Conduct requirements and any other governing/regulatory body’s rules and regulations, e.g., SRA and Land Registry.
  • \n
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • \n
  • Utilise a Case Management System for efficient handling of cases.
  • \n
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on properties, including title checks, searches, and legal documentation review.
  • \n
  • Draft contracts, deeds, and other legal documents related to property transactions.
  • \n
  • Manage a small team of legal assistants.
  • \n
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process to provide updates and address any issues or concerns.
  • \n
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on conveyancing matters, including property law, contracts, and legal rights and obligations.
  • \n
  • Stay updated on changes in property law and regulations to ensure all conveyancing processes adhere to current best practices and standards.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to property transactions and client interactions.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Qualified in the area of practice, either as a Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to set an example for other team members.
  • \n
  • Ability to make independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility.
  • \n
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the CLC Code of Conduct and any other governing/regulatory body’s rules and regulations, e.g., SRA and Land Registry.
  • \n
  • Experience with sales and purchase transactions – freehold, leasehold, and unregistered.
  • \n
  • Experience dealing with New Build Transactions, Shared Ownership Transactions, and Remortgages.
  • \n
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
  • \n
  • Ability to motivate, drive, and inspire others to conduct their best work.
