Senior Accounts Assistant Location: EppingSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Contract Type: PermanentWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Epping that is seeking a talented Senior Accounts Assistant to join its friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified professional or an experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidate who enjoys a broad accounting role and wants to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services, helping businesses maintain compliance, improve financial visibility and achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:\n

• Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
\n
• Managing bookkeeping duties accurately and efficiently
\n
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
\n
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
\n
• Supporting clients with accounting queries and day-to-day financial matters
\n
• Assisting with financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
\n
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentation
\n
• Building positive and professional relationships with clients and colleagues
\n
• Supporting continuous process improvements within the practice
\n

Skills & Experience Required To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:\n

\n
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
\n
• Experience preparing statutory accounts
\n
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
\n
• Experience producing management accounts
\n
• AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification, or substantial QBE experience
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Strong organisational and time management skills
\n
• Good communication and client relationship management abilities
\n
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
\n
• A proactive and collaborative approach to work
\n
