Role: Motor Litigation Fee Earner Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, Salary: 40,000 - £45,000 Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading national legal services provider to recruit an experienced Motor Litigation Fee Earner.This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded defendant litigation team based in Leeds, managing a varied caseload of litigated motor damage claims within a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment. The Role\n

Reporting to a Team Leader, you will manage a caseload of litigated defendant motor damage claims from receipt of proceedings through to settlement or final hearing. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice, developing effective litigation strategies, and ensuring claims are progressed efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Manage a caseload of litigated motor damage claims from inception through to conclusion.
  • \n
  • Draft legal documentation, pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • \n
  • Develop commercially focused litigation strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • \n
  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate and prepare cases for trial where necessary.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and client service standards.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate case management records and meet agreed service level agreements.
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships with clients, insurers, counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Share technical knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider team.

About You\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with a current practising certificate.
  • \n
  • Experience managing civil litigation matters, ideally within defendant motor damage or insurance litigation.
  • \n
  • Road Traffic Accident (RTA) litigation experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • \n
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and case management skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent commercial awareness and sound litigation judgement.
  • \n
  • The ability to prioritise a busy caseload while delivering exceptional client service.
