Management Accountant

Our client is a well established and privately owned group of businesses with a diverse portfolio in the property industry. They are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support financial reporting, improve processes and help develop the wider finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a varied position offering the opportunity to take ownership of monthly management accounts, lead process improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of systems and reporting.Key Responsibilities\n

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
\n
• Produce financial analysis and management information to support business decisions.
\n
• Mentor and support junior members of the finance team, providing guidance and development.
\n
• Review and improve existing finance processes to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.
\n
• Work with Sage 50, identifying opportunities to enhance the system and improve reporting capabilities.
\n
• Calculate and maintain service charge budgets, reconciliations and year-end statements.
\n
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
\n
• Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
\n
• Undertake ad hoc projects as the finance function continues to evolve.
\n

Candidate Profile\n

\n
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
\n
• Previous experience producing full management accounts.
\n
• Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting.
\n
• Experience supervising or mentoring finance staff would be advantageous.
\n
• Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge existing processes.
\n

Salary & Benefits\n

\n
• £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
\n
• Full-time, permanent position offering a 35 hour work week.
\n
• Office-based with 1 wfh day per week
\n
• On-site parking.
