Credit Controller

Orka Financial is looking to hire a confident Credit Controller to join their clients wider finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the credit control function who enjoys building relationships and taking ownership of their own sales ledger.

This Credit Controller opportunity will be joining a supportive business where you can make a real impact by managing your own portfolio of accounts and contributing to the company's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of your own sales ledger, ensuring outstanding debts are collected efficiently and professionally.
\n
• Proactively chase overdue invoices by telephone and email.
\n
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to resolve payment queries.
\n
• Reconcile customer accounts and allocate incoming payments.
\n
• Investigate and resolve invoice and account discrepancies.
\n
• Monitor credit limits and assess customer creditworthiness.
\n
• Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates on collection activity.
\n
• Work closely with internal departments to resolve issues and improve cash flow.
\n

About You:

\n
• Previous experience in a Credit Controller role.
\n
• A good understanding of the credit control function and best practices.
\n
• Confident managing your own ledger and prioritising your workload.
\n
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
\n

Salary £30,000 - £31,000 - hybrid working - excellent company benefits
