We're looking for an experienced HGV Driver Trainer to lead driver development across our transport operation. This isn't a classroom-only role—you'll be out supporting drivers, working with depot teams, improving standards, coaching individuals and ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant and operating at its best.

If you enjoy helping drivers develop, preventing problems before they happen and raising standards across a business, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

The Role

You'll take ownership of driver training and compliance across multiple sites, working closely with Transport Managers, Fleet, HR and Driver Mentors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering Driver CPC training, assessments and refresher programmes.
\n
• Recruiting, onboarding and developing professional HGV drivers.
\n
• Coaching drivers to improve safety, performance and fuel efficiency.
\n
• Supporting Lead Driver Trainers and Driver Mentors across the business.
\n
• Monitoring tachograph compliance, telematics and driver performance.
\n
• Identifying trends before they become problems.
\n
• Investigating incidents and implementing preventative training.
\n
• Producing meaningful KPI reports and recommending improvements.
\n
• Regular travel to depots to support operational teams and promote best practice.
\n

What We're Looking For

You'll probably have experience as a:

• HGV Driver Trainer
\n
• Driver Assessor
\n
• Fleet Trainer
\n
• Driver Development Manager
\n
• Transport Trainer
\n
• Driver CPC Trainer
\n

You'll also have:

\n
• Class 1 (C+E) Licence
\n
• Driver CPC Qualification
\n
• Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Driver Trainer / Train the Trainer / Driver Assessor qualification
\n
• Experience within transport, logistics or fleet operations
\n
• Excellent coaching and communication skills
\n
• A proactive approach to improving driver performance and compliance
\n
