Job Description
KCR Solutions are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join this growing company based in Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and wants to become a key member of a small, friendly team.
\n\nWorking in a positive and supportive office environment, you will take responsibility for a range of transactional finance duties whilst providing wider support to the Finance Manager. As this is a new position, the role offers scope to develop and evolve based on the successful candidate's skills, experience and interests.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner using Xero. \n
- Maintaining purchase ledger accounts and resolving supplier queries. \n
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies. \n
- Raising and processing customer invoices. \n
- Maintaining sales ledger accounts and allocating customer receipts. \n
- Assisting with credit control activities and following up on outstanding payments. \n
- Handling customer and supplier account enquiries in a professional manner. \n
- Maintaining cash books and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. \n
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and resolving outstanding items. \n
- Assisting with month-end processes and general finance administration. \n
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation. \n
- Supporting customers with order-related enquiries. \n
- Providing general office administration support as required. \n
- Assisting the Finance Manager with a variety of finance-related tasks and ad hoc projects. \n
Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role. \n
- Good working knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, cash books and statement reconciliations. \n
- Experience using accounting software, ideally Xero. \n
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. \n
- Good communication and organisational skills. \n
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. \n
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently when required. \n

Benefits
