Our client based in Grays are recruiting for an experienced Family/ Criminal Legal Secretary to join there expanding team. If you’re a legal secretary with either Family or Criminal experience or both our client would like to hear from you .

The Role

\n
• To provide secretarial support to Two Partners in the Family and Crime department
\n
• Diary management
\n
• Opening and closing files
\n
• Audio typing Using digital dictation, Drafting letters and responses with minimal supervision
\n
• Assisting with Divorce , Child Care , Separation, Co- Habitation, Finances, Civil Partnership, Domestic Abuse ,Special Guardianship, Motoring Offences, Benefit fraud cases
\n
• Consulting daily with barristers chambers, courts, prisons , local authorities , experts and clients
\n
• Typing documents in readiness for criminal and family court hearings
\n
• Preparing trial bundles
\n
• Liaising with courts regarding CVP hearings on both criminal and family hearings
\n
• Assisting with Divorce , domestic abuse ,special guardianship, motoring offences, Benefit fraud cases
\n
• Filing
\n

The Candidate

\n
• The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year’s recent Family or Criminal legal secretarial experience
\n
• Excellent Audio typing and IT skills including Microsoft Office
\n
• Good communication skills
\n
• Attention to detail
\n
• Possess the ability to multitask
\n
• Hours Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm
\n
• 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
\n
• Onsite parking
\n
• Friendly working environment
